Sarah and Brent’s wedding ceremony took place at the Berkeley Rose Garden. In all my years in the Bay Area, I had never been- it was so beautiful! The quiet outdoor amphitheater is lined with colorful sweet smelling roses which were complimented by the bright colored parasols thoughtfully provided for guests. After the intimate ceremony, everyone headed to the Berkeley City Club- a historic hotel designed by the incomparable Julia Morgan. Congratulations Sarah and Brent!!

Janette and Chris both have roots in Livermore, but never crossed paths growing up. They decided it would be the perfect spot for their engagement photos, and we had a great evening exploring bits of downtown and a couple neighboring Vineyards. They will get married this coming September at Deer Ridge Vineyards.

On a gorgeous day in July, Lindsay and Frank were married at Mission Santa Clara. I loved the bright and summery color scheme and how fun everyone was! It was a fantastic day.

The Old Adobe Lodge is the only surviving building of the original Mission- don’t you love the rustic feel? Oh and the dress- Lindsay’s dress was breathtaking!

Lindsay and Frank opted for a first look which allowed us to take most photos before the ceremony. We created a special moment for Lindsay and Frank to see each other for the first time. They then had plenty of time with their guests at the cocktail hour!

I walked away from Elizabeth and Matt’s Radonich Ranch wedding full of love and gratitude. Every wedding I shoot reminds me of how special having love and family in one’s life is, but this one stuck out. The outpouring of love, from family and friends for Elizabeth and Matt was astounding. I knew family the main priority when Elizabeth delayed the start of the wedding while  a search party was sent out for her grandparents who had made a wrong turn on the way to the ranch. She wouldn’t start without them, they had to be there. Grandparents of both Matt and Elizabeth spoke during the ceremony, reminding everyone how important love and family is in guiding our journeys in life. It was a beautiful ceremony- I don’t know that there was a dry eye by the end!

The colors and details of this wedding were sweet and fit in perfectly with the rustic appeal of Radonich Ranch. Elizabeth thought up the heart place cards with vintage photographs of her family to designate the tables- hung from twine with mini clothpins, they were really cute!

Marky of Vignette Events runs the show at Radonich Ranch and takes care of almost everything. She does the delicious food, linens, table flowers, and provides all the staff. She also happens to be one of the nicest people you will ever meet. I love that she does all she can to keep weddings green there- using local and organic produce when she can. She’s pretty much the best!

These folks know how to party! The celebration was jubilant- and the photo booth got a little wild!

Matt and Elizabeth- thank you for the honor of photographing your wedding! Enjoy your new home in New York!

Sara and Jason’s intimate Napa wedding at Landmark Vineyards in Kenwood, CA was one of my favorites. Sara and Jason not only chose a breathtaking venue, but also incorporated unique and personal touches which really made their day stand out to me. If you remember from their Marin Headlands Engagement Session, Jason is an avid biker. It was really sweet that they incorporated a bike motif on their menus and programs. These two are travel bugs- Sara had her shoes made in Argentina after discovering a shop there on one of their many travel adventures. Don’t get me started on the bouquets and placecards…. air plants and succulents?? BRILLIANT! Congrats you two! Thank you for the honor of photographing your day!

Seeing Lindsay and Frank pulling up on bikes with Lindsay in a cute dress with bright orange cardigan was a dream for me as a photographer. I love when clients take initiative in their look. A bright splash of color, props that are meaningful to them- it makes for great photos. Lindsay and Frank ride their bikes everywhere, so it was perfect that they brought them along for a starring role in their Stanford University engagement shoot. And these two are fun- so fun! I can’t wait to shoot their 4th of July nuptials at Mission Santa Clara!
