Friday I’m In Love
July 24, 2009Happy Friday everyone! Jesse took the day off today so we can take the kids somewhere fun before a big work weekend. Our house is going on the market and though I am a little sad about it as we love our place and neighborhood, I am really trying to focus on the adventure ahead and stay positive. Sooo, without further adieu, here are some Friday gems.
I saw this a couple times on Facebook yesterday and it made me smile and laugh out loud. When the bride finally walked down the aisle, I got chills- I think it is so fabulous. I love love love when couples make their wedding day unique. I have been to more than my fair share of weddings, and I know it is easy in our culture to think your event “should” be a certain way, so when a bride and groom let their personality shine through my heart pitter pats. It is what makes their wedding memorable. So check this out if you haven’t.
Blackberries- I love them. They remind me of my childhood, every time I eat one, I am taken back to the Oregon coast and picking berries on my grandparents property. My grandma makes the most delicious pies- my siblings and I would pick bucket fulls in hopes of getting a slice of homemade pie with Umpqua ice cream. This summer, we have been taking our kids to Swanton Berry Farm on the coast near Davenport for strawberry picking and you know what? Blackberry picking time begins now! I love this place because their berries are organic. Pick some berries, grab a picnic lunch and enjoy the nearby gorgeous beaches.
Sunday Suppers- I know, I know, I blogged about them a while back. I am really loving the sneak peek they just posted and can’t wait to see more. Wouldn’t that cake be amazing at a wedding? I love the turquoise and tangerine combination. It is so fresh!

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!
