Claire and Phillip’s wedding happened on one of the most lovely days up in St. Helena in the Napa Valley. Two days later, the Bay Area was struck by quite a storm, we were so fortunate to have the weather we did!
It was a chance meeting really, in France. Claire is from the UK and Phillip grew up on the Mendocino coast, they spent years in Europe together before Phillip moved back to help out at his family’s winery. Claire finally made the move this past winter and they have been busy planning their nuptials since. They are the sweetest couple and the nicest of people and I felt so honored to photograph their wedding!
We started out at the Silverado Country Club where Claire’s parents (visiting from the UK) had a suite. Claire and her dear friends Hester and Anna readied there and then drove to Grace Episcopal Church in St. Helena for the wedding ceremony. The wedding reception was held at Churchill Manor in Napa.

For this wedding, I was only commissioned to cover the ceremony and family formals- I took a couple shots indoors- I am sure a wonderful party was had as the night went on!
Somehow the light is just a bit more beautiful in the Napa Valley.
