It has been a lot of fun editing the photos from the engagement session of Sara and Jason in the Marin Headlands. I adore these two and am really looking forward to their June wedding at Landmark Vineyards in Kenwood. Sara and Jason- thank you for a great afternoon and for breaking in my new camera! You both really rocked it!

I loved all the laughter these two share.

You can’t tell from this photo, but it was freezing! Sara, you were a trooper in that dress!

The lighthouse in the distance was the site of one of Sara and Jason’s first dates. Jason is quite the cyclist and often bikes in Marin- I love when couples pick locations that are not only beautiful, but have special meaning to the couple as well. It makes the photographs that much more meaningful.

OK, these next few shots are some of my most favorite engagement shots ever. The colors are intense and Sara and Jason brought style and presence to the shots. LOVE THEM!

I normally don’t post vertical shots alone on the blog just for formatting reasons, but this next shot deserved it’s own space. Can you say supermodel?

The refurbished military buildings made for a great backdrop- and it was incredible to see a launching pad down the hill from here.

Jason chose the most beautiful ring for his beloved.

I love these shots. Love. Them.

Sara and Jason, thank you again for a fantastic session. See you in a few short weeks!

Marin Headlands Center for the Arts Engagement Session : Sara and JasonMay 16th, 2010Sara and Jason’s engagement shoot in the Marin Headlands near San Francisco, CA. |
As I drove up to Marin yesterday there was a thick marine layer coming over the mountains and I was getting nervous. Sara, Jason and I had plans for an engagement shoot and those plans included some visibility! Thankfully, as I got into the city and over the Golden Gate, it got clearer and clearer and it ended up being a gorgeous evening! Sara and Jason were so much fun to photograph- I walked away from this session even more in love with what I do all because of them. They had amazing chemistry, loads of laughter, and I swear must have been models in a prior life because they were complete naturals. Any guesses on who their doppelgangers are?
Here is a sneak peek of the engagement session in the Marin Headlands. I’m eager to share the rest of these soon!

St. Helena Engagement Photography : Tiffany and TimMay 7th, 2010Tiffany and Tim’s engagement photos in St. Helena California. They will be getting married at Vintner’s Golf Club in Napa Valley. Photography by Lili Durkin. |
The afternoon I spent with Tiffany and Tim doing their engagement photos at Cliff Lede Vinyards was perfect. Cliff Lede in St. Helena is such a gorgeous spot, it is on my short list of wineries to visit on my next Napa trip! Tiffany and Tim are such a sweet couple from San Luis Obispo and will be getting married in Napa late this summer. I can’t wait! I loved getting to meet Tiffany’s parents- a huge thank you for the delicious wine!
Tiffany and Tim, I had a great time getting to know you two better- I can’t wait to photograph your wedding at Vintner’s Golf Club in a few short months!

The above photo was taken in the art gallery.

These two are so sweet together!

Tiffany, you are beautiful!

The artwork around Cliff Lede is wonderful. And how perfect that we found two hearts?

San Jose Engagement Photographer : Krystal and LeonMarch 17th, 2010Lili Durkin photographed Krystal and Leon in San Jose, Ca. These are their engagement photos, their wedding will be held in September at the Saratoga Foothill Club in Saratoga, CA. |
This past weekend, Krystal and Leon introduced me to a great park off Mt. Hamilton Road. We were able to find some great spots for engagement pictures- and I know I’ll be back there for hikes and picnics. It was beautiful! They brought their dog Mishka along- and she was such a sweetie!
Krystal and Leon- I really enjoyed getting to know the two of you more and seeing how strong your love is. It was really sweet to see how kind you are to each other, how you make each other laugh and the little whispers in each other’s ears. I can’t wait to photograph your wedding at the Saratoga Foothill Club (a Julia Morgan building) this coming September! Thank you for spending your afternoon with me!
Isn’t Krystal gorgeous?

Mishka is such a good pup!
